Confusing behaviour after account merging

I tried to add another email address to my launchpad account (~xuzo) and I was asked to merge accounts. I go ahead and merge them

Now, I can log into my account (now ~xuzo-cuarentaydos) but I can't access to my previous account and all my stuff (ppa, bugs, activity) is associated with it (~xuzo)

I found some similar case here, in launchpad answers, and the solution need some manual tweaking. I want to retain my original account (~xuzo)

Can some gimme some hint or fix this? Thanks.

The two profiles are not yet merged. To merge the profiles:
* Login as the profile you want to keep.
* Request a merge of the other profile at https://launchpad.net/people/+requestmerge
* Follow the link in each email sent to to each email address associated with the other profile.
* When you visit the last link, merge will start.
* You may need to reload the page several times if merge times out.
* When merge is complete, you will be redirected to the remaining profile.
* Note that karma cache is not transferred. Your karma will be recalculated during the daily karma calculation.

Ok, but I can't access to my original account, the email I use to access launchpad (or I guess I used) is associated with the "empty" profile.

I try to recover password using some alternative email addresses but I doesn't receive any email, so I suppose there is any profile linked with those accounts and I'm not using the wrong email.

Any option?

registration/login/password reset is really login.ubuntu.com. Launchpad does not have a way to manage identity. I cannot help with that.

I propose we assign this question to an Launchpad admin. merge ~xuzo-cuarentaydos into ~xuzo. Once that is done, you can confirm that the email address is yours.
