Need help with PPA deletion, please

Dear launchpad team,

When I was pretty new to the launchpad system I created my first PPA
which does not serve a purpose any more. Back then I did not realize that
the handle for my account had been derived from my e-mail address in a
rather clumsy way and with that old PPA I keep being stuck with it.

I'd like to kindly ask you to delete the PPA leftovers from my account
 so I can change to a more sensible handle before uploading any
more code.

Unfortunately it's not currently possible to rename an account with a PPA, even after disabling the PPA (per the bug I've linked to with this question).

Hi, The PPA, if its been used, which yours has, cannot be deleted, either. We have to leave it in the disabled state for now.
