Launchpad users that are approved Ubuntu members are entitled to an ubuntu.com email forwarding address that is managed by Ubuntu IS. The ubuntu.com email forwarding registry is updated within 48h, so if you update your launchpad ID it may take up to 2 days for your @ubuntu.com address to be updated.
