I need line by line instuctions to export from old computer and to import to the Kontaker address book. HELP!!!

I am what is called computer illerate and have a hard time getting new programs to work, most of the time I wind up calling a computer geek and letting him take control of my computer and make the changes needed.

Hi,

now with kontakter you can import addresses in 2 ways.

1. Kontakter -> Kontakter
From Kontakter on other PCs to your Kontakter:
          To do so, first you have to export your old database from the kontakter on the old machine,
          File->Export->Database
          Once you exported the database (for ex. foo.sqlite) then you need to import it on the kontakter
          on your new pc:
          File->Import->Database and select the sqlite file (for ex. foo.sqlite)

2. Other Software -> Kontakter
In order to import your contacts from other programms to kontakter, you have to make sure that the program can export to the vCard (.vcf) format which is widely supported... If that software doesn't support that format then it is not possible :(
