number of users supported and when have groups

Asked by xia bolai

hi, love your platform and am considering it for a very large community. i have a few questions:

1) how many users can jisko support? is it scalable for hundreds of thousands of users? what is the biggest site that currently uses jisko?

2) i know you said groups was coming in 3.1 or 3.2...but can you tell me when this will be? 1 month? 3 months? 6 months?

3) i am getting this warning in the admin section under the URL Shortening tab, can you tell me how to fix it?

Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #2 is not an array in /homepages/31/d114522534/htdocs/mydomain/includes/themes.php on line 273

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /homepages/31/d114522534/htdocs/mydomain/includes/themes.php on line 277

thanks!

Well, dzone was right, Jisko.net is the biggest site we know it's using
Jisko. I can't tell you when are we going to implement groups because we are
focusing on some other things like the user experience, but we think we'll
implement it as of 3.1, probably 3.2

The problem you're telling us about was fixed as of the SVN and the patch
will be released as of Jisko 3.0beta3 release.

Any more questions?

Thanks for you interest in Jisko!

Hi folks! We're loving Jisko after only a few days of testing and installing (well, MY few days - nobody else does any work around here..!)

In setting up our new site at http://lincme.co.uk, we went through weeks of agonising about how to structure it, what form groups should take, how to control user groups, etc. But you know what? Most site visitors don't understand or care about groups. But explain member privacy to them, and the use of hashtags, and they get it immediately.

You don't actually NEED groups if you explain Jisko (and Twitter) to people. If they hashtag some notes so they appear in tag 'groups' then people can find them by clicking a hashtag link. If the notes are private then they can't see them, just like a private group. But the cool thing is that nobody has to set-up or moderate any groups.

Personally, I think this is simple and cool taken to another level. ;)

Can you help with this problem?
