Is there a way to check line length in IVLE?

PEP8[1] specifies "Limit all lines to a maximum of 79 characters." Given that the IVLE code editor has a visual aid for highlighting to students where their indentation is not 4 spaces, is there any facility for highlighting lines that exceed this length?

There's no such feature at present.
