PHP 55.17 and 5.5.18 missing in IUS repo

Hi,

I want to ask, why newer release of php (5.5.17+) are currently missing in the IUS repo.
I know that there are two weeks until new packages leave the testing stage and come into the stable repo.
But currently i cannot find any newer php packages as 5.5.16-2 in all the repos (development, testing, stable)
PHP 5.5.17 was released on 18 Sep 2014 and PHP 5.5.18 was released yesterday.
Is there any reason for these newer releases to be not added to the IUS repo,
or did a miss any point when i was looking for it?

Howdy Chris,

PHP 5.5.17 introduced a serious regression in SSL. We were advised by a PHP developer to skip that release if at all possible, so we did. We are in the process of building 5.5.18.

Hi Carl,

Thanks for your fast response.
Sorry for the question regarding something that was already in a bug ticket,
but I was able to find the ticket with the search function.
now found out that I can find it using the search on the bottom and using the keywords "php 5.5.17 ius".
Is there a better way to find such open tickets or is there a option to search only the ius project in launchpad?

Yeah, LP search isn't great. The problem is it defaults to only include a few status. In particular, it ignores "won't fix" and "fix released". I worked around the issue by configuring an advanced search, copying the resulting url, and replacing the search term with %s. Now I can plug it in to Chromium or Firefox search engines.

I set the keyword "lp" in my browser so I can just open a new tab and hit "lp php55u" to find all bugs related to php55u, for example.

Also, 5.5.18 is finished building and will hit the testing repos tonight.
