How do I delete old files from Inkscape? Rightclicking doesn't work, and I'm not a programmer

I'm a little astounded that a very advanced seeming program like this doesn't have a simple means for deleting old files. My daughter plays in Inkscape regularly so there is a backlog of files in the directory that need to go.

Hi Koptev

Inkscape files i.e. .svg files in the main inkscape file directory. Old work
that is not needing to be kept.

It would be interesting to know what are the filenames of them.

I'm unsure of what you mean by "old files", but Inkscape sometimes creates files when the app crashes or when autosaves the file you're a working on. These files can be deleted from the file browser of your operating system. Can you delete those files from there? Or are you trying to delete them from Inkscape's filepicker? If it's the latter might be because you're using version 0.46 which has the GTK+ filepicker which doesn't allow to delete files. 0.47 will have the standard Windows filepicker (at least in windows).

Thanks for your help. They were able to be deleted using the windows file browser.
