Drawing a box, star, or circle

I can't draw the box, star, or circle outline. I can draw one filled in, but not the solid line outling it. Also can't change the color of the object I try to draw.

Yes you can. See Ctrl+Shift+F

Also try doubleclicking on the tool icon in toolbox.

all tools work except circle....i get 2 boxes & 1 circle instead. uninstalled inkscape and reinstalled. no fix yet
