error mess Uninstall.dat is missing upon opening prog

This is not inkscape's message, I think. Your operating system or some virus may cause this. Try scanning your computer for malware. Also making a dumb file with correct name into inkscape's directory may help.

I'm having the same problem with the Uninstall.dat file missing when i try and open inkscape. What did you do to solve the problem?

I ended up deleting the inkscape download and dowloaded it again then it worked just fine. Hope this helps

I forgot to mention in my last response just a few minutes ago, that when I re downloaded inscape, I did it from another link, there may be a link that downloads incorrectly, sorry I can be specific which link it may be try the second or third one you see. Ev
