Printing line weights
Asked by

I'm attempting to print from Inkscape to a laser engraver. According to the laser manufacturer, any lines thinner than .007 in. should be interpreted by the printer as a "vector" which, for the purposes of the printer, means they should be cut. Any thick lines or solids are interpreted as raster images and engraved. I cannot, however, get Inkscape to output something that the printer interprets correctly. The printer is designed to work with CorelDraw although they claim any vector graphics program will work. Is there some way to determine or configure how the line weights are being printed?
