Doesn't appear to have conic gradients (i.e. what Photoshop calls "angle gradient") in Inkscape as of 0.46 dev.

Perhaps someone who codes could adapt something like http://www.pixelwit.com/blog/2008/09/flash-scripted-conic-angle-gradient/ ? Note that http://www.photoshopgurus.com/tutorials/t008.html gives details about the different fills in Photoshop.

You can simulate a shaped (eg diamond) gradient up to 50px wide using the "outset path" tool.

You could also use "tiled clones" to emulate nearly any shaped gradient, including the conic one ... but it would be a bit tedious. GNU's Imp does conic gradients - I'd probably just create a raster version and import it.

SVG specification only supports radial and linear gradients, so we cannot implement other types of gradients yet, except by extremely elaborate and CPU-intensive hacks.

BTW I don't think GIMP can be called GNU's Imp.

Can you help with this problem?
