have drawn logo as .svg, how do I put it in to a word document

Hi. I am new to this and have drawn a logo as a .svg file but seem unable to import it into a word document. The point of doing this was so the logo could be resized without it distorting can you help please. Thanks Michael

I haven't found a "simple" way to use SVG files anywhere directly, but you can insert a PNG file into Word. So just select your logo and go: File > Export Bitmap. Be careful to select the name and location for the exported file. Inkscape automatically assigns a number to the export and uses the last location filed to if you don't tell it otherwise.

Although the imported PNG can ONLY be resized keeping its original proportions, enlargement will result in a degradation of quality. You should make the logo in Inkscape the size you want the finished image to be first. To keep the propotions click on the padlock icon. When the image is approximately the correct size I always unlock and round the dimensions as appropriate to avoid the target programs having to do anything themselves.
