Feature requested - About languages

Hello,

In many countries we speak non official languages (for example : breton in France, basque in France). To get Inkscape in breton we have to put a language variable and we can't change it easily (in MS Win environment). For a lot of people, it's difficult to go inside the controls.

And I like discovering other languages ; )

Could you include a language tool in Inkscape 0.47 as there is one in Scribus to change GUI language very easily inside Inkscape among the preferences ?

You may ask to Scribus team to get their tool. It's very efficient.

We could choose the languages to install and share the software between a guy who speaks breton and another one who speaks french only. I know a lot of familly in Brittany : Mister speaks breton and Madame doesn't (or control) and only one PC at home.

Inkscape is a very great sofware and the new 0.46 is really interesting : )

There is an open bug #170809 which deals with this. Post a comment there, comments entice developers to work on a given feature.

This feature is now available in Inkscape 0.47.
