Import DXF-files

I have many files made in Micrografx Designer 3.1. Inkscape has a similar interface as this old version of Designer. So for me it has been verry easy to learn. Of course Incscape is a fare more modern program and has a lot more functions. But the problem is how do i do to convert and import DXF-files into Inkscape?
I have tried to export files from Designer into several format and then import them without success.

What should always work is use a virtual PDF printer, such as CutePDF, print from Micrografx and then import the resulting PDF into Inkscape.
