Is it possible to animate the endpoint of an arc with unclosed shape?

Asked by jus

Basically i want an halfopen arc to go in X steps to a full closed arc, with X single objects ready for export.

I looked into the tiled clones section but cant find a way to move the arcs endpoint only.
Would be happy if someone can shed some light and point me into the right direction.

Thanks.

This is not doable with tilde clones: clones are instances of the original object and cannot have varying parameters of the original shape. OTOH clones can be scaled, skewed and translated (as a whole), and can have individual style properties (if unset in the original).

You'd have to create the individual steps for the animation manually (duplicate the arc, move to the side and adjust the angles of the arc's start/end points on the controls bar of the ellipse/circle tool).

Did you consider using a real animation software for your project, e.g. like Synfig?

Can you help with this problem?
