Linked Image Not Found

Asked by Jennifer Sims

I created a shell guide a few months ago where I used web site images that I had cropped and altered.
Today, out of the blue, when I bring up the SVG's (even very old versions of the shell guide), every shell image has a 'Linked Image Not Found'. I even downloaded Inkscape on my other computer and tried to load the SVG from disk that I had saved 2 moths ago, and it came up the same.
I want to start over but what if this happens again in a few months?
If anyone has any solutions I would be very grateful!

Please read this article to understand why it happens: http://libregraphicsworld.org/articles.php?article_id=27

You linked to an image and then moved it.

Hi I have an SVG image in inkscape I was converting to a png. It has a box in the background that covers the entire image that says "Linked Image not found" with a pink frame around it. I use to be able to move that box over so that I could work on the image, and for some reason I can't get it to move. The words don't go away when I convert it, and I don't know how to remove it. I use Inkscape for my work, so I really need to use this program.
Thanks
Jody
