How to add extra language to speel checker on Mac MAC OS X 10.6.6?

On Mac MAC OS X 10.6.6 the speel checker windows is not hilighted for put new language, how can I solve it?

Unfortunately the spell checker isn't fully functional in the packaged version of Inkscape for Mac OS X: normally additional languages are selected in 'Inkscape Preferences > Spell check'. But this setting doesn't work, even if additional dictionaries have been put insight the application bundle.
