Filter on .svg file

Asked by mathyas

I have a filter on a .svg file. To fix the filter on the image you can export the bitmap to a .png picture. But i need the result of the filter in a .svg file (that way that Inkscape don't show the path with the fllter anymore). Because when i save a filtered .svg file Inkscape is the only program where the filter is active. Is there a solution for this problem? I hope the question is clear.

And if i use the "make a bitmap copy" function the image borders are messed up because it's a very small image, too small for bitmap. But i want to achieve the result of that function without the loss of quality...

what other PROGRAM are you wanting the Filter to be veiwable in? If you want other svg compliant viewers (note: not all svg viewers support filters yet) to render your filtered object you should save your work as plain .svg and not inkscape.svg.
