Inkscape

is there a program similar to inkscape but for images as photoshop? thanks.

I'd like to know if there's a program compatible with inskscape but for images, as photoshop or corel photopaint (which works with corel draw).

You should try GIMP (http://gimp.org) - great multiplatform image editor.
Also take a look into Paint.net (<email address hidden>) - lightweight but
powerful editor for Win platform
