3D boxes have disappeared and cannot make any more.

I was working on a simple diagram with 3D boxes in it, I did something (I do not remember what) and the 3D boxes disappeared. I tried to create new ones but nothing happens, not even an error. All other features (circles, stars, polygons, ... ) seem to work fine. I saved my work and opened again and it still doesn't work. New and previous documents work fine.

When I attempt to do a 3D box and right-click it tells me I can undo the 3D box. If I open a select window it does not select anyting in the space I left.

I'm a newbie, I have to say. I am quite sure I'm only using one layer.

It seems that you created a duff Inkscape perspective, and now every 3D box that you try to create uses this perspective.

You could try Vacuum Defs (on the File menu). This should get rid of unused perspectives. But the bad perspective may be in use by a (probably invisible) 3D box, so this may not solve your problem.

The following should work however: Select a good 3D box in your image. (If there isn't one, copy and paste one from another document.) Then switch to the 3D box tool and draw a 3D box. The new 3D box should use the perspective of the selected 3D box instead of the bad perspective.
