Indicator Remindor

No notification for missed events

I installed this yesterday on Ubuntu 14.04 and then set up 3 reminders for today @11:00 AM

But today, I was travelling during that time so eventually started my laptop at about @12:00 PM

I was expecting there would be notifications for missed events, but there were none.
It was only at about @1:15 PM I realised the tasks which were to be done. Was a bit disappointed.

Is this usecase not supported ? Or I have some config issue ?

What version are you running? You'll have to look at apt or the software center as the latest version has the wrong number in the about window. The latest version should have run the notifications when it started.

Ok, that's the latest version, can you run a little test for me? Set a reminder for a few minutes in the future, then completely quit out of Indicator Remindor. Wait until after the reminder should have run and start up Indicator Remindor again. If all goes well it should run the reminder as soon as it starts up.

I performed the test you had asked and results are *positive* :)
I could see the notification.

Then immediately repeated the test with a restart and could see notifications there too.
Not sure what/why did I miss that the first time

But one thing I noticed is that the countdown for the notification does not the seconds, it works with minutes only ?
I mean if I set a notification @ 55 sec for 1 minute, it immediately rings after 5 seconds ?

Yeah, kinda weird situation. If it misses again just let me know and I'll investigate it further.

Well, when you specify 1 minute in the future, you are really saying at a certain time. So it's not 1 minute in the future, but 1 minute from the current time (excluding seconds).
