System Load Indicator

Don't rescale net-speed graph

Hi,

i'm wondering wether there is a way to stop the net-speed graph (or any other graph for that matter) from dynamicly changing the scale depending on the current speed. Currently the highest peak always goes to the top of the graph. In my opinion that is pretty useles, because a steady download of 5kb/s and 500kb/s look exactly the same (both maxing out the area of the graph). What I want to see is how much of my bandwith is used at the moment. So the graph should be low, when there is only a little traffic and high when there is much.

Hi,

you can actually do this. If you go to the advanced settings, you can specify how the upper edge should behave.

Hi,

I'd like to follow the bandwith I'm receiving from my provider but I didn't find this advanced settings. After installing the System Load Indicator, when I right-click in the tray indicator the options under "Preferences" are: which indicator I want, autostart, width of the icon, delay between measurements and colors. The last button, "Menu items..." bring me to some formulas. I though I could chance something in some parameter file, but I'm just a begginer... I better don't change anything without orientation. Can you help me?

Excuse, please: complementing the information, the first item of the right-click menu is (I'm translating from Portuguese version) "Open System Monitor". And clicking there, nothing happens. My Ubuntu version is:
