System Load Indicator

Memory load increases indefinitely

Hello,
Indicator-multiload is very useful but I noticed that load memory used by indicator-multiload increases indefinitely to occupy several GB after a few days of activity.
Is this normal and necessary?
Should it not be limited to a few MB like at startup?

Hi Didier,

yeah this seems to be a bug in the libappindicator library (it seems to leak some dbus related memory, but I don't know much about). It should be solved if you use the version at ppa:indicator-multiload/stable-daily or in raring (0.3). Solved means in this case: the indicator restarts itself it the memory use increases beyond 50MB :-). The restart shouldn't really be noticeable though.
