Indicator Applet

How do you remove the time from the indicator applet?

For some reason the indicator applet has the time bundled into it. I already have time and weather displayed using the clock applet, so I do not need it duplicated in the indicator applet section as well. For some reason though there is no option to remove it. You also cannot get it to show the weather alongside it.
