I would like a text to speech app with a GUI.

Asked by joemun

Is there any other app apart from festival?, I am a regular user. Festival is just too complicated for a regular user. Orca reads everything on the screen. Does an app like text to wav (free) for windows, exists on linux?, in which you just paste the selected text and it reads it out loud or records it as a mp3 or wav file, all done from a simple GUI, and you don't have to be a code ninja...

Hey, if you're still looking for an answer to this, Google Translate has a text to speech function built in. You just set the translation to go from English to English, paste in your text, and hit the 'Listen' button beneath the text box.
