Ink level won't be displayed
I have a HP Deskjet 1220C Inkjet Printer and use Ubuntu Jaunty. I'm eager to get information about the levels of the inkjet-tanks, but I get only the result that tey are OK and full - but that's wrong.
Does anybody have a solution for the problem?

Please run hp-check -t and post the output.
Also run hp-levels -i -g
and post the output.
Thanks.

Hi,
here's the output of hp-check -t and hp-levels -g; I haven't found an option -i.
hp-check -t
HP Linux Imaging and Printing System (ver. 3.9.2)
Dependency/Version Check Utility ver. 14.1
Copyright (c) 2001-8 Hewlett-Packard Development Company, LP

Note: hp-check can be run in three modes:
1. Compile-time check mode (-c or --compile): Use this mode before compiling the
HPLIP supplied tarball (.tar.gz or .run) to determine if the proper dependencies
are installed to successfully compile HPLIP.
2. Run-time check mode (-r or --run): Use this mode to determine if a distro
supplied package (.deb, .rpm, etc) or an already built HPLIP supplied tarball
has the proper dependencies installed to successfully run.
3. Both compile- and run-time check mode (-b or --both) (Default): This mode
will check both of the above cases (both compile- and run-time dependencies).
Saving output in log file: hp-check.log
Initializing. Please wait...

I hope you'll find anything.
Maybe it's important t o tell you that the ink cartridges are not original.
Thanks for your efforts.

Are the ink levels used from another device or refilled?
Thanks.

I think with ink levels you mean the ink cartridges?
As I wrot before, the cartridges are not the originals and they are refilled.
Thank you

Is there no way to show the levels of refilled ink cartridges?

Correct, refilled ink cartridges will not show the correct ink levels. In addition refilling ink cartridges is not recommended or supported by HP and may cause device warranty issues.
Thanks for your support of HPLIP--we appreciate it.
