HPLIP

HPLIP can't find my LaserJet 1100

I'm running Fedora 11 on a box with an Intel motherboard and Celeron. I recently downloaded and compiled HPLIP 3.9.8 to run my HP LaserJet 1100. I compiled HPLIP with the pp-dev ON, but it can't find my LaserJet. Using the basic driver, I can get the printer to work, so the problem isn't in the printer or the parallel port (which is set to ECP in the BIOS) but seems to be in the HPLIP build. I think I've probably missed a parameter in the configuration when I compiled, but I'm not a programmer so I can't say for sure.

Further information including hp-check.log available.

Found the problem! After installing cupsddk-1.2.3 and recompiling, the
printer is working. You can close this question.
