Evolution - I cannot send or receive emails

I am very new to Linux. I use Firefox to connect with Webmail including tpg my ISP, but I cannot use Evolution at all. I received a ' welcome' email from Evolution when I started but thereafter - nothing. I have 4 emails in my Outbox but - nothing out and nothing in.

Mu send/receive button is greyed out and I am online.

I need to change something but I don't know what or how. I use POP3 and SMTP. Perhaps I should use IMAP what ever that is ( how ? ). Can you advise please ? Thank you. Brian Phillips

Brian,

Sorry--the project you posted to, HP Linux Imaging and Printing, does not support configuring Evolution. You may want to post your question to the forum of your specific linux distro. For example, if you are using Ubuntu you would want to go to http://ubuntuforums.org

Launchpad hosts many different projects, you may find a specific Evolution support forum that may also help.

Hope this points you in the right direction.
