unable to find appropriate su/sudo to run hp plugin
I just installed ubuntu 9.04 clean install. My hp p1005 will not print anything. It is reconized in open office, when trying to print it says print complete, but nothing prints nor does the printer do anything, or even make a sound. I tried to download and install the plugin from hplip program. I get a message saying unable to find an appropriate su/sudo to run install. I tried to install real player and get the same message. it appears something did not install during the install of 9.04
I downloaded the latest printer drivers from hplip. However they will not install through terminal saying it can not find a progran to install them
Any help will be appreciated.
P.S
at this point I could format the drive and reinstall the program if you think that may work.
