unable to find appropriate su/sudo to run hp plugin

Aaron I tried hp-check-t. It came back command not found. I tried it 3 different ways, when I put sudo in front of it it asked for my pass word I entered it then it said command not found. I am fairley new at this but I am learning. I did a lot of the command stuf with Dos but that has been a long time ago, It appears some files are missing or corrupt. It will not let me do anything through Terminal. I attached a copy of what happened. Also I attached the message from when i tried to install the plug in.

This question was expired because it remained in the 'Needs information' state without activity for the last 15 days.

 I believe something is wrong with version 9.04. It has hplip 3.9.2 installed which will not work my Hp P1005 laser printer, no message it just says print job is complete, But the printer does not print or make any sound. I have tried installing version hplip 3.9.4b. It appears it is installed and goes through the complete install and says it is installed completely, however it does not install. version 3.9.2 is still on the computer. I have installed the plug in and it says it is installed, but still doesn't work. I low level format-ed the hard drive and reinstalled everything, With the same results. This printer was working on ubuntu 8,10, but hasn't worked since I installed version 9,04. It looks like I am going to have to give up. I have checked all the forums and tried the suggestions, however nothing works.

then:

sudo rm -rf /usr/share/hplip

then:

sudo apt-get remove foo2zjs

Then install the latest HPLIP.

i followed all instructions uninstall and reinstall. it still will not work printer acts as if nothing was sent to it. under the diag. prog. it said printer driver Foo2xqx was not installed.
also the hplip toolbox will not open now, uninstalled it and reinstalled but it still will not open.

You are still having a problem:

Answered? Boris has uninstalled Ubuntu, that doesn't seems like his problem was solved....

This reply is directed at Martin Gamache.

I did install ubuntu 9.04. I have a dedicated hard drive just for that program. Later on I decided to down load the 64 bit version. I wasn't sure it would work. I have an Intel motherboard and CPU but it did. When i installed the program it told me I had to install a plug in. which I had tried on the 32 bit system many times. It did not work either. I them installed the hp tool kit and installed the plug in with it and it worked. I had reinstalled the 32 bit version along with attempted plug in twice which failed. I tried many other things, to many to list here. It appears what i have been saying along is correct. something is wrong with the program or the hp plug in install  on the 32 bit version.
