cant find driver for hp deskjet 3720

as above. hp site is useless and actually sent me here.
current OS is ubuntu 22.10.
 just bought new printer.
 have checked HPLIP is installed and up to date.
have been trying various different steps within printer setup but no result
print setup cannot find precise model driver, but does have the 3700 series.
have tried each listing under this series heading but no result.
print setup has chosen CUPS-BRF
print jobs message is 'printing' then 'printed' but nothing prints out.
using the 'test print' button on printer gets an actual print happening, but nothing from computer
