HPLIP

HP Device Manager does not start

Distro: Linux Mint 12
Ckicking on HP Device Manager does not bring up the box, and this started recently for no apparent reason. So I cannot look at the printig status , ink levels etc. The printing as such works, but no statuses are available.
Any ideas as to why, and how to fix it?

Please download and install latest HPLIP 3.12.10a release from http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/gethplip.html.
