How to Uninstall HP Officejet PRO 8600 from Linux OS

Installed printer driver for HP Officejet PRO 8600 for Linux OS. Driver not installing properly. Need to uninstall and re-install printer driver for HP OfficeJet PRO 8600 for Linux OS.

Currenlty receiving the following message:
$ hp-check -t
Command not found. Install package 'hplip-gui' to provide command 'hp-check'? [N/y]

 * Downloading details about the software sources...
 * Downloading list of packages..
 * Running.. Failed to install packages: could not do simulate: The packages are already all installed

Need assistant urgently. Thanks.

Hi,

Please try the following steps.

1. Run "system-config-printer" from the terminal.
2. Delete the existing print queues.
3. Download and install the latest HPLIP 3.12.10a from http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/gethplip.html. Installation instructions can also be found in the same page.
4. Re-configure the queue using "hp-setup" from the terminal.

If problem persists, past the output of "hp-check -t" from the terminal here.
