CM1415fnw print black bars in color print mode

HPLIP 3.11.5, Ubuntu Lucid 10.04

Laserjet CM1415fnw print black bars in color print mode

The problem occurs by printing from Firefox, OpenOffice, Adobe Reader and also on the HPLIP Printer Test Page.
However Printing in greyscale is OK from all applications.

Strange: The Problem does not occur in color printing from gimp or the Ubuntu Printer Test Page

Hi Georg,

Thanks for the logs as it was very useful to analyse the problem. Please follow the steps below.

1. Delete all the existing print queue.
2. Re-Configure the print queue using "hp-setup" from the terminal. Make sure you select "HP LaserJet cm1415fnw PS" PPD rather than "HP LaserJet cm1415fnw pcl3" PPD.

Hi Srikanth,

a HP LaserJet cm1415fnw PS - PPD was not found on my System, but there is a hp-laserjet_cm_1410_series-ps.ppd

This solved my problem!
