Why is a mirror image of the document is generated when scanning using the ADF on the LaserJet M1212nf?

By the way I am using version 3.10.6 which was downloaded from the HP site.

This is a big in HPLIP.

Workaround to this problem:
1. once scan the image from "xsane",
2. mirror image it (rotate it with 180 degrees) and save

New problem with the LaserJet M1212nf and hplip 3.11.1 Trying to scan
documents from the ADF fails and locks up the MPF machine.
