Credit Card qif import

Asked by Angela Charles

I have read the previous questions and answers, though they are no later than 2011 and the problem obviously still exists.

When I import a .qif file into my credit card account in Homebank, from my credit card account statement, it shows transactions as income and payments in as expense.

I have tried the workaround that I used to use for this in Microsoft Money, which is to open the .qif file in Wordpad, and replace all T with T-, which worked very well, but in Homebank this then shows as an invalid file and I can't import it.

Is there a workaround for Homebank for Credit Card transactions yet?

Thank you.

this was supposedly fixed here in 2014: https://bugs.launchpad.net/homebank/+bug/773282

but something seems broken now, as if ccard is detected it should reverse inc/exp.

Q: is your QIF file have a !Type:CCard in the first lines ?
if so open a bug, for me to fix this.

Many thanks Maxime. It has been fixed - if you remember to import into your credit card account!

My bad. Sorry to have wasted your time.
