Is there a way to bound budget to a particular year?

Hello - I'm setting up a budget and I've imported last years expenses from another program. When I create the budget for 2015, I noticed that looking at the 2014 reports, it is using the 2015 budget for comparison. This makes me wonder if in a few years, I will have problems to look at historical performance comparing my spending to my budget? Is the budget bound to a particular calendar year? Is there a way to add this?
