Do not understand how to start this money promgram

I find your help not helpful at all you do not make it clear at all I am also 70 which my brain is a little slower but I need help getting this program started.
You do not tell me how to start ,how to put in multiple items bought on the same ticket
.how put in in credits and refunds.
I know how to open a new account which i hope is right.
I has microsoft money before which I find so easy to use my hard drive went and I had to replace it and replace the money program
If you can just help me get started would be good.

What you are looking for is splitting up billing-entries and categories. Homebank does not yet have this feature. The only way now is to split up your bills yourself and put them in as separate entries. Also have a read at "Bug #140504".
