Associate with LogMeIn account

Asked by geometrikal

Is there any way to use haguichi to associate hamachi with a LogMeIn account (rather than just appear as a guest on the website). Also should there be a haguichi entry somewhere in the gnome applications menu?

Thanks for the work, very much appreciated.

In the upcoming release (version 1.0.1) you will be able to attach your Hamachi² client to your LogMeIn account from within Haguichi. If you can't wait for this release, you can do it from command line.

Attach the client without networks (the client stays owner of created networks):
hamachi attach youraccountid

Attach the client with networks (your account will become owner of created networks):
hamachi attach-net youraccountid

If you used one of the official packages Haguichi should be located in Applications > Internet in your Gnome menu. Please tell me if that's not the case.

Thanks for the help.

All it needed was me logging in then out to get the icon (perhaps a restart of gnome-panel would have sufficed)

I indeed remember the menu entry not showing up directly after install while testing Haguichi on different distro's like openSUSE, Fedora and Kubuntu. It's very annoying. Only Ubuntu seems smart enough to refresh the panels when packages get (un)installed. I guess that's one of those reasons why people call it the most user-friendly distro...
