Twitter is releasing a new authentication method. Is Gwibber ready for it?

Twitter has released a new authentication method called OAuth, effective August 31st 2010, as reported here:
http://blog.twitter.com/2010/08/twitter-applications-and-oauth.html

The day I post this question, Gwibber has stopped sending as well as receiving from Twitter. Does the new authentication method have something to do with it?

enable lucid-proposed repos from software source and install gwibber 2.30.2 and the problem is solved there.
