I cannot reproduce what you are saying.
The package gufw does exist for Ubuntu bionic (in the universe repository).

Gufw is for every Ubuntu release from 8.04 😏

For diagnostic purposes please provide the output that you receive for the following commands (to be executed in a terminal window):

uname -a
lsb_release -crid
apt-cache policy gufw

Problem resolved after running update cmd start showing GUFW in software center

sudo apt-get update
