Highlighting or returning a specific metrics value from the graph

Asked by Jimmy

Hi,

Is there a way to highlight data points with a different color for a metric by specifying the exact value or range of values you provide in the graph? I couldn't find a good way to obtain a specific value visually. Looking at the csv format helps, but would rather like to see it in the graph.

Thanks

Client-side graphing would make this possible and there is already a UI being worked on that uses flot (see graphlot link in 0.9.9). It may not be supported yet but it would be possible there unlike with the server-side generated PNGs. If the goal is to simply identify an outlier in a large set of metrics though a simple solution can be to use one of the filter functions in the apply function menu.

Can you help with this problem?
