make compile error

Asked by The Techie

Hi there,

I am trying to install gloobus-preview on Ubuntu lucid (fully updated) from source, but, for some reason, when I am at the make command I always get this error:

gloobus-preview-interface-media.cpp:35: error: ‘void media_marshal_VOID__STRING_STRING(GClosure*, GValue*, guint, const GValue*, void*, void*)’ declared ‘static’ but never defined
make[3]: ** [gloobus-preview-interface-media.o] Erro 1
make[3]: Saindo do diretório `/home/johnie/gloobus-preview/src'
make[2]: ** [all-recursive] Erro 1
make[2]: Saindo do diretório `/home/johnie/gloobus-preview/src'
make[1]: ** [all-recursive] Erro 1
make[1]: Saindo do diretório `/home/johnie/gloobus-preview'
make: ** [all] Erro 2

I have followed all the instructions given here: http://gloobus.net/wiki/index.php?title=Install#Installing_Gloobus_Preview_from_the_PPA

Every dependency has been met (installed them with apt-get).
Am I missing something?

are you sure to have latest version?
and if you are not going to work on gloobus preview, it is better for you to install from gloobus-dev ppa, it has the latest development version

Can you help with this problem?
