Hello there,

Is there a way to switch an application to fullscreen mode? (like pressing F11 in firefox for example)

I'd say it's application-dependent. If the application has the option to run in fullscreen then it must have a shortcut somewhere.

It's not something OS-wide, if the application was not designed to run in fullscreen, there is nothing to do.
