Hi! Did you try the ateps here? https:/
The PPA works in Debian.
A hug!

Hi ! thanks for the answer but unfortunately it doesn't work...
I used the PPA for Nautilus in Gnome at the link you mentioned (I'm in Debian 10 Buster testing)
From a terminal :
xavier@xavier-pc:~$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:costales/
[sudo] Mot de passe de xavier :
Change a folder color used in Nautilus, Nemo & Caja File Browsers, then you can get a better visual layout
More info: https:/
Press [ENTER] to continue or ctrl-c to cancel adding it

So i still don't know what to do...

Hi,
It's not an issue of Folder Color, Debian doesn't know the GPG key.
Reading this tuto
https:/
appears you need to do this:
This should work:
sudo apt-key adv --keyserver hkp://pool.
--recv-keys FC14671BA89CA06C
Then, follow the tutorial in main webpage https:/
Could you give me the feedback if this is working? If that is not
working, you can download the installers .deb, but you'll not give
updates.
A hug!

Hi Costales,
Here is the feedback of what you've suggested to do :
xavier@xavier-pc:~$ sudo apt-key adv --keyserver hkp://pool.
Warning: apt-key is deprecated. Manage keyring files in trusted.gpg.d instead (see apt-key(8)).
Executing: /tmp/apt-
gpg: WARNING: no command supplied. Trying to guess what you mean ...
gpg: Vous pouvez taper votre message…
last line translated into english is : gpg: Can you type your message... (what message ???)
So after : sudo apt-key adv --keyserver hkp://pool.
--recv-keys FC14671BA89CA06C nothing really happens in the terminal, any idea ?

sudo apt-key adv --keyserver hkp://pool.
has to be given as one single command.
Copy/paste it from https:/

Yes Manfred, you were right...one single command, it "works" better !
But still :
xavier@xavier-pc:~$ sudo apt-key adv --keyserver hkp://pool.
Warning: apt-key is deprecated. Manage keyring files in trusted.gpg.d instead (see apt-key(8)).
Executing: /tmp/apt-
gpg: WARNING: unacceptable HTTP redirect from server was cleaned up
gpg: clef FC14671BA89CA06C : « Launchpad PPA for Costales » n'est pas modifiée
gpg: Quantité totale traitée : 1
gpg: non modifiées : 1
And when i do : sudo add-apt-repository ppa:costales/
it says : Warning: apt-key is deprecated. Manage keyring files in trusted.gpg.d instead (see apt-key(8)).
And at the end : gpg: no valid OpenPGP data was found.
I have found this : https:/
but even in french i don't know how to use it...

Sorry, no idea. I suggest that you ask at a Debian forum how to import the key.

Hi Costales,
As i mentioned above, it's for Nautilus in Gnome under Debian 10 Buster testing.
Folder color is a great tool that i use everyday under Ubuntu 20.04 (it works very well, so thank you for that...!)
My idea is to switch slowly to a unique (and lighter) Debian OS on my computer with some "Ubuntu tool's and software"
that i don't really want to let down.
Too bad if folder-color doesn't work in Debian...

> Too bad if folder-color doesn't work in Debian...
Yes, it works. The issue is that Debian doesn't have the repository
key and it can't import the PPA.
Try this: https:/
This will not include the PPA repository, then you'll not have
updates, but I don't expect to release a new version soon.
Best regards.

Hi Costales !
This new "recipe" is working !
After that, terminal "told" me I only needed some more dependencies that I've downloaded from Synaptic like :
folder-color-common depends on gvfs-bin; however:
Package gvfs-bin is not installed.
And :
folder-color depends on python-nautilus; however:
Package python-nautilus is not installed.
For the last one, I couldn't find python-nautilus in Synaptic...
but instead I've downloaded : python3-nautilus and now it's...working !
So thank you very much for your help (thanks to Manfred too) and have a nice week-end !
