How to reverse the integration of two calendars

Asked by Huw

I have a personal calendar on Evolution. Today I downloaded an .ics file and then imported it into Evolution. However, it seems to have integrated with my personal calendar. Even the calendar.ics file located in ~/.evolution/calendar/local/system has incorporated the new calendar into itself, and restoring a backup of this file does not solve the problem.

Is there any way to reverse this?

Please explain exactly how you "restore a backup of this file". It's crucial to know.

I closed Evolution, and replaced ~/.evolution/calendar/local/system/calendar.ics with an older version that I have backed up on an external disk. When I restarted Evolution the new calendar was still present and integrated with my personal calendar.

Never mind. Restoring the backup of calendar.ics did work after a system restart.
