Microsoft Media Center Remote & ati x800xt pe

Hello,

A friend of mine was thinking of using linux as a media center and came to me there i already have installed linux before ( ubuntu, gentoo, redhat, etc..)
I came upon your site, and entertainment is just what he needs and wants!
so i have a few questions:

On what linux does it runs best giving the best support for ati drivers and mircrosoft media center remote

his video card is: ati x800xt pe
during my experience with ati drivers for ubuntu ( the easiest linux around) i have found there is less support given on ati than on nvidia. So i was wondering do you have any experience with ati cards running entertainment? and does it give more trouble than nvidia cars?

All of our developers are using Ubuntu for development. While this may change soon, Ubuntu is currently the best supported distro for Entertainer.

The video card should work fine. Both nVidia and ATI provide proprietary drivers that Ubuntu handles relatively well.

Unfortunately, Entertainer does not yet support using a remote. It is planned to be in Entertainer by the end of the year.
