Drizzle packaging (gentoo): init scripts and configuration.

Asked by Pavel Stratil

Hi,

I'm working on Drizzle-Bell ebuilds for Gentoo. I wonder,
- are there any init scripts for drizzle already or does everyone use modified mysql scripts?
- are drizzle cnf options documented somewhere?
- do drizzle cnf files use mysql's cnf files syntax? i (still?) see many references to mysql as i.e. in the support files.

Thanks, Pavel Stratil

I have init scripts in the debian packaging for drizzle, which is in
lp:~mordred/pkg-drizzle/trunk in debian/drizzle-server.init. (I should
really copy that in to the drizzle tree...)

The log rotation script in there hasn't been touched since we forked.

The .cnf options are not documented anywhere yet - but they are largely
the same. The syntax is the same.

Monty, Thanks for the link! If a dev/someone who follows drizzle more closely then i do has time to at least list what cnf options are not applicable compared to mysql, please let me know.
