Can we have an option to prevent a single click from flooding the screen with running applications ?
Docky is a great addition to Ubuntu's Unity. At present Unity doesn't provide a method (from the Launcher) for selecting a particular running application. If you have 30 browser windows open (as I often do) and 10 terminal screens open, 5 or 10 LibreOffice documents open and you want to review a Firefox browser page to update your Office document clicking on the Firefox icon on the Launcher will flood your screen with Firefox windows and bury your Office document. If you click on the LibreOffice icon, your Firefox page will become buried underneath a flood of Firefox browser windows.
It's a mess.
Docky is a great resolution. However, I often make a mistake of clicking on the application icon on the Docky screen and get a similar flood. I've been using Docky for a number of months, but I keep making the mistake of clicking on the Icon instead of right clicking the Icon to bring up the menu.
I would like to suggest that the develops fix this problem by have a click bring up the running Application if there is only one application in the stack and bringing up a menu (as if you right clicked) if the stack has more than one application running.
Thanks in advance for any consideration to this an response from a developer or someone close to the developers who can understand this suggestion (feature request) and pass it on.
By the way, a menu item for those who wants to bring up every running window can be added to open all (similar to the current close all).
