Customizing Taskbar Icon (esp. gnome-volume-control)

Asked by benjamin

According to the documentation Docky searches icons for the taskbar from the current theme. It's not the case for the gnome-volume-control or multimedia-volume-control, which picks up the icon from /usr/share/icons/gnome/ ... even though i placed a high quality (128x128) icon in the /humanity/apps/128/ folder, Docky keeps taking a low resolution icon from the /gnome theme. How can i trace the file Docky needs?

Thanks.
B.

Yes but your dock probably is not at 128 pixels. So it will find the best fitting icon (64, 48, 32, 24, whatever is 'best') and grab that one.

You need to replace *all* instances of the 'multimedia-volume-control' icons. At all sizes.

Can you help with this problem?
